3The outcomes

We measure the distance between where learners are and where they need to be, then write each outcome as a promise the learner can check for themselves.

You bringYour view of what “good” looks like on the job.

You leave withA list of measurable outcomes, each at a stated depth.

In the StudioOutcomes are grouped into courses. A course usually carries between two and six, depending on the subject and the criteria.

What AI does hereAI drafts each outcome at the chosen depth and flags any that cannot be measured.

The thinking behind it
  • Bloom’s taxonomy the gap is the distance between two levels, from remembering up to creating.
  • Proof an objective only becomes an outcome when the data shows it was reached.

Worked example · a general language curriculumHere each course carries a single outcome, written as a promise: “order a coffee”, “take a taxi”, “see a doctor”. Organised by real-life task, not by level.
